Will I see you there? I’m so excited!
My journey to motherhood was never a planned one. Growing up I always envisioned getting married and having 2 kids right off the bat, no problem. Well life always has a funny way of screwing up our plans in our head doesn’t it?
Now let me start by saying that where I am at in life and my journey through motherhood is nothing less than amazing it’s been a whirlwind of emotion!
When my husband and I married I gained an awesome little boy as my step-son but when the time came for my husband and I to have our own that process took a few years. 4 to be exact. We tried for about a year then went to seek medical help. I started in on all those med’s that warn you of mood swings but don’t really warn you of mood swings. (Sorry babe). They didn’t work. Year 3 we just stopped trying, we talked about adoption and we were happy with our son. Well year 4 rolled around and on New Year’s Day I found out I was pregnant. It felt like a joke and I’m sure I took about 5 too many pregnancy tests just to make sure there was really a baby in there. The birth of our children is probably the best days of our lives. And my advice to anyone experiencing infertility is to relax. It’s not in your time. Don’t trust medical professionals when they say you can’t have children without meds, or can’t have children at all. I wasn’t on anything when I became pregnant with our little girl and I wasn’t on anything when I found out this year that I am pregnant with our 3rd child! (Surprise!).
My journey through motherhood thus far has been an eventful one to say the least. I’ve had my proud motherhood moments and my not so proud moments. I’ve cried and laughed a lot. And no matter how hard or stressful the day was I still miss my kids the moment they fall asleep. I wouldn’t trade these days for the world!
My advice to you is to embrace the crazy roller coaster train that is called Motherhood.
So another reason I’m really excited for MommyCon 2017 is so I can make sure I am not the only mother who is going crazy but loving life. Haha.
I hope to see you all there!
